Our Story
Mindset Games was founded by a team of youth from different professional sectors with a collective interest in developing a venture that would support older adults with dementia. This social entrepreneurship venture is led by a core team of young professionals holding diverse roles in design innovation, social work, and psychology and neuroscience research.
In collaboration with experienced mentors in the field of finance and business, and Professor Ka Tat Tsang of the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto, the team developed Mindset Games for the purpose of creating an effective tool to improve the quality of life for those with dementia.
Mindset Games is a culmination of experiences and observations made from the existing Play Intervention for Dementia (PID) programs and incorporates the core values of the SSLD™ System.
